Faq

Q-What if you come out and can’t fix my problem? A-It’s rare, but it does happen. If we arrive and determine the cause of the problem, for instance, a piece of bad hardware, you will still be charged for the hour. After all, we still came out there and did the troubleshooting to find your problem. At that point our technician will recommend your best solution. If it’s not a hardware problem but a software problem i.e. virus or spyware that we’re unable to fix it then no, you will not be charged. Q-I’ve seen other companies with half the hourly rate, what’s up? A-Don’t be fooled by companies offering discounted rates, it’s often accompanied by discounted service. Remember the old adage ” You get what you pay for.” Sometimes it’s true. We’ve been doing this since the late 80’s and have thousands of satisfied customers, not just a few relatives and friends. So, if you just need to get to the next level in World of Warcraft a $25.00 per hour tech is fine, however, if you want your business computer to function properly, save yourself the worry and call us. Q-What kind of warranty can I expect on your services? A-A 30 day warranty is provided for all service work. Q-Can I get a quote over the phone? A-Sure, our technicians would be happy to, just answer a few questions so they can provide the best possible quote for you. Q-I just have a simple question, can I just call you and ask at no charge? A-You bet. We’ve all been there. We would rather you called and asked before doing something you might regret later. Plus, our company policy is “if you help people when you can, they will come back when they need real help in the future.” All of our customers can attest to that. Q-How do we charge? A-For mobile service charges are by the hour with a 1 hour minimum. If the job is completed in 30 minutes, it’s still the one hour charge. After the first hour though, it breaks down to 15 minute increments. For remote login service we charge by the 1/2 hour. Q-What’s your gimmick? A-Sorry, no gimmicks, we don’t drive a funny little car or dress up like a doctor or clown, IHCR just provides professional, honest service in the hope that you’ll come back for years to...

Backup Service

Do you really need to backup? We have several companies and residential customers that would say definitely, YES! There is nothing worse then losing all of your data when it could of been saved for as little as 20 cents per day. So, now that you’ve decided to backup, what’s the best solution for you or your company. Do you choose an On-line backup service, DVD media,  low or large capacity backup drive. Lets take a moment at look at the different solutions available. On-line Backup Plus side: Off site backup, non-stop automatic backup, your backup is always fresh, if you get robbed or your place burns down there’s no risk of losing your data. No external storage problems, low cost, about $5.00 per month. Negative side: Very long recovery times up to a day or two for 30 gigs, shorter times for just a few hundred files. DVD media Plus side: You have your data at your finger tips, quick recovery. Inexpensive. Negative side: Data is never fresh, discs scratch easily, get lost, slow backup times could require many discs. DVDs and CDs have one foot in the grave and are soon to be obsolete. Low Capacity USB Thumb Drive Plus side: Extremely Inexpensive. Practically given away at office supply stores. Quick backup for small files like documents some photos. Can be carried on a key chain or easily put in your pocket.  Negative side: very low capacity, between 4 and 128 gigs and the 128 gig ones cost a pretty penny. Easily lost, washed or broken. Large Capacity Backup Drive Plus side: Data stays fresh and up to date. Enough space to hold all of your data, easily taken with you on travel. Negative side: About $70 dollars for a 1 terabyte, not really that bad. You get robbed, it’s gone also. Drives do fail. So now that you know the differences between the backup types you just need to make your decision. Want us to do it for you, no problem. It’s hard to judge backup times seeing there is so many factors involved. i.e., USB type, system speed, file size and overall byte amount. Normally, if you have over 40 gigabytes of information we will have to take the system with us. We require that you either have or purchase an external backup drive or internal hard drive to have the data moved to. You don’t need to get the backup drive from us but you do need to have one. Backup drives can be purchased by us or you for about $70.00.  Turnaround time is usually 1 day. Just give us a call and we can quote it over...
